Welcome to the Wildest Ride in the West
Update - Registration is available at all
check-in locations & onsite at Recreation Park!
OUR CYCLING event takes riders through the historic gold country of California and reaches up to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our longest route in arguably one of the toughest bike rides in the West with 16,000 feet of climbing over 140 miles.
EASIER OPTIONS exist with three additional routes ranging from forty miles to our Century distance. All of our courses offer outstanding scenery, historic stops, friendly volunteers and outstanding meals.
JOIN US on a tough but memorable ride through the back roads and hills of Placer County. You'll take a step back into time as you pedal through historic mining towns, travel through beautiful wilderness and spin up wildly steep climbs that will question your resolve and challenge your fitness.
OUR FOUR ROUTES begin and end in historic Auburn, California. Depending on your ride choice, you’ll have the chance to descend into deep, breath-taking river canyons and pass through historic gold-rush towns. Everyone will enjoy the warm and friendly welcome offered at each rest stop, the quiet solitude that surrounds you, the tough, challenging climbs, the steep, fast descents and the wild adventure that awaits you.
OUR RIDE SUPPORTS local community sports programs, youth groups and coaching clinics. We host the ride to promote the recreational opportunities within Placer County and to highlight our historical communities.
BEFORE YOU SIGN UP, make sure that you’re ready to ride. Our hills have quite a kick and they’ve been known to send some good riders packing back to the ranch. Get ready and saddle up for the Wildest Ride in the West!!
This year our ride date is Sunday, June 3, 2012. We look forward to seeing you this year in Auburn.
